Exxus Quick Brief

What You Should Know

A quick rundown of the main points, questions, and guidance you'll find in this guide.

Overview

Dab temperature shapes everything about your session: flavor, cloud size, smoothness, and intensity. This guide breaks down the main temperature ranges for concentrate vaporizers and explains what each one does to your wax.

Using the Go Plus Concentrate Vaporizer as a reference, you will see why lower temperatures favor flavor while higher ones produce denser clouds, and how to dial in the middle ground that suits your taste. It also covers why two devices at the same setting can still hit differently.

Key Takeaways

  • Two devices can show the same temperature but perform differently based on size and design.
  • Temperatures below about 310 degrees are generally too cool to vaporize wax effectively.
  • Lower temperatures, roughly 315 to 450 degrees, favor rich flavor and smoother, cooler vapor.
  • Medium temperatures, about 450 to 600 degrees, balance flavor with more vapor and potency.
  • High temperatures, 600 degrees and up, produce dense clouds fast but trade away flavor.
  • The Go Plus Concentrate Vaporizer adjusts from 392 to 932 degrees in 10 degree increments.

Questions This Resource Answers

  • How does temperature affect a dab?
  • What is the best dab temperature for flavor?

Category Breakdown

Below, the full guide breaks down the category, how people use it, and how to choose within it.

Interested in peeling back the layers of mystery surrounding your dab temperatures? Want to get the inside scoop on how they affect your vapor? Interested in the Go Plus? Well if the answers to one or more of these questions is YES, you have come to the right Vaporizer Blog!

That’s right, today Exxus Vape has taken our Go Plus Concentrate Vaporizer and dove into the various temperatures in order to give you a guide on how exactly your vapor is affected by these different settings!

Are All Dab Temperatures The Same?

No. While two rigs may display the same temperature, it depends on how that device puts the heat to use in relation to its overall size and design. E-Rig technology has a massive amount of variance in how it functions which can in turn mean that even though the setting is matching, you get entirely different results based on which device you have.

This is why you may notice some e-rigs hitting harder at lower temperatures than others and shows why getting a quality E-Rig is a must to get them most out of your wax.

How Does Temperature Affect Wax Materials?

Depending on what temperature you set your E-Rig to, your concentrates are going to vaporize in vastly different ways. This can create variance in terms of their flavor, potency, harshness / smoothness, odor potential, and cloud volume.

Below we are going to break down all of the major temperature ranges to give you a birds eye view of what is possible with your e-rig. Once you understand these wider ranges, you will be able to incrementally adjust your session temperatures to find a flavor / potency mix that fits your own personal tastes to a T.

As a note, when you start to approach the higher ends of these ranges you will experience more of a mixture of the two experiences, use this to help dial in on the vapor that you desire.

Too Cold To Dab

Temperatures that range between 32˚ - 310˚F are unfortunately not hot enough to cause your e-rig to vaporize your materials! This is basically the dead zone of dabbing where you aren’t going to be able to enjoy your materials at even their most basic levels.

Luckily for us the Go Plus has a starting temperature of 392˚ to ensure that even at its lowest setting you are going to be able to get quality clouds without compromise. While temperatures may be dropping outside for Winter, unfortunately our dabs still need to be fiery hot!

Lower Temperature Dabs

For dabs that have the most flavor and smoothness, there exists the lower dab temperature ranges of 315˚ - 450˚F. With these temperatures you are going to find the vapor to be incredibly rich with the full spectrum of flavors available in your materials.

This can be great when you are trying out a newly purchased container of wax, as it will give you the clearest picture of what your materials offer your taste buds! Many customers swear by these lower temperatures purely from a standpoint of flavor and after trying some for ourselves we can’t say we blame them!

The other side effect if you will of this lower temperature range is that your vapor is going to be less harsh on your throat and lungs. As you would suspect from the lower temperatures, the vapor you produce is going to be cooler and less dense than it would be if you cranked it up.

Medium Temperature Dabs

Right in the middle of the road we have the medium temperature dabs that exist within the range of 450˚ - 600˚F. This mid range can offer you a best of both worlds hybrid of more vapor, higher potency, but also with slightly reduced flavor.

The medium temperature range is great for when you are looking for the harder punch of a high temperature dab, but without the coughing that comes along with it. This is where we like to enjoy our most of our daily dabs as it provides the right intensity that you look for when you crave a dab.

High Temperature Dabs

At the sizzling hot high end of things, we have dab temperatures that range from 600˚ - 900˚F+ in order to give you an experience that is much more intense.

By vaporizing your materials with these high temperatures you are going to get much thicker, denser clouds that will hit you much harder than lower temps. Your materials will vaporize much faster at these high temperatures to give you a shotgun blast of a cloud with maximum power, at the expense of loss of flavor.

The clouds lose flavor as a lot of the tasty parts of the wax are burnt off immediately, this is just a natural result of the higher temperatures but can be a worthy trade off if you are in a rush or really want to see how crazy your concentrates can get.

What’s The Temperature Range On The Go Plus?

Now that you have a clearer picture of how your temperatures affect your materials, we wanted to go into our own excellent E-Rig, the Go Plus Concentrate Vaporizer! This water filtered beast offers the peak of our Exxus tech by allowing you to control your temperatures all the way from 392˚ - 932˚F!

This means that you can access all of the aforementioned temperatures and easily try them out to see which one you prefer for each type of wax. The Go Plus features adjustable temperature in increments of 10˚ to allow you to tailor your dabs exactly to the temperature you want.

This also makes finding those middle ground heats even easier, as you can slowly raise your heat until you find that sweet spot. With dedicated + and - buttons to use, the Go Plus is great for seshing with friends who have different heat preferences. With a couple of clicks you can switch between a low heat dab, to a hot one, and then back to a low heat one! It’s that easy.

Time To Dab!

No matter which E-Rig you end up using, you now have the knowledge to accurately tailor your dab clouds to the consistency that you actually enjoy. Skip taking satisfying dabs and get in on the precision dabbing only offered by E-Rigs to transform your wax sessions to even more elevated levels!

Frequently Asked Questions

Category Guide FAQs

Common questions about this guide and how to put the information to work when choosing your device.

What dab temperature gives the best flavor?

Lower temperatures, roughly 315 to 450 degrees, preserve the fullest flavor and produce smoother, cooler vapor. They are ideal for tasting a fresh container of wax.

What do high dab temperatures do?

Temperatures of 600 degrees and up vaporize wax quickly and produce thick, dense clouds that hit harder, but much of the flavor burns off at that heat.

What is the temperature range on the Go Plus?

The Go Plus Concentrate Vaporizer adjusts from 392 to 932 degrees in 10 degree increments, so you can reach every range and fine-tune to your preference.

Why do two devices at the same setting hit differently?

Because a device's size and design affect how it applies heat. Two units can display the same temperature yet deliver different results, which is why quality hardware matters.
